QUICK WORK IN COURT.

Williams Receives a Sentence of One Year—Court Adjourns Judge O. L. Moore returned from Abilene at noon today and reconvened court this afternoon. William Williams, the negro who shot J. McGonigle, of the Eighth cavalry, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year in the penitentiary. For swift justice this case was a record breaker. The Crime was committed Saturday morning and the criminal captured Sunday. Owing to the illness of Juror Mann the Buck vs. Davidson case continued until next term. The jury was discharged and court adjourned sine die.
